Debbie McLeod

Debbie McLeod, 64, of Jefferson, Maryland, surrounded by her family, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at her home, in Jefferson, Maryland.

Born on December 9, 1959, in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Donald Eugene Biddinger and Anna Mae Irene Biddinger (Coyle).

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip McLeod, father Donald Biddinger, mother Anna Mae Biddinger, best friend Diane Hawker, and her beloved dog Cody. 

She was a graduate of Frederick High School, class of 1977. Debbie worked in administration for Long Fence and recently retired after 10 years with the company. 

Debbie belonged to the Brunswick Eagle Riders F.O.E. #1136 with her late husband, Phil McLeod. They had many close friends in the club, which they enjoyed going on "runs" and spending time together. The club's loyalty went unmatched during Phil's illness. They surrounded Debbie with love and support, which she never forgot. Debbie loved to go camping, on cruises, motorcycle rides, completing diamond paintings, watching the O's, and visiting her best friends in Florida. Her most cherished moments were spending time with her family. She enjoyed game nights and cookouts with her children and grandchildren.  

She is survived by her three children: Nicholas Zittle & wife Casey, Ashley Strakonsky & husband Mitchell, Courtney Penner & husband Ryan; 10 grandchildren: Cole Zittle & fiance Britney, Dalton Zittle, Mitchell (Ryan) Strakonsky JR, Hannah Strakonsky, Ellie-Grace Strakonsky, Liam Strakonsky, Jack Strakonsky, Nancy Strakonsky, Thomas Penner, Cason Penner and great-grandson Owen. She will be missed by Danny & Dawna Snoots of Florida and her many other close friends. 

A celebration of Debbie's life will take place at The Brunswick Eagles Aerie #1136 401 Central Ave. Brunswick, MD 21716 on Saturday, July 13, 2024. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
