Debbie Lajoie

July 1, 1962 — July 4, 2018

Debbie Banner Lajoie, 56, peacefully passed away July 4th, 2018, following a nine-month heroic battle with breast cancer and additional complications. Debbie was born in Takoma Park, Maryland, daughter of the late (Norton and Annette Banner), and lived in Montgomery and Frederick counties her entire life.

Debbie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, & sister who truly enjoyed her family and friends. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Joseph Claude Lajoie, and her 3 beautiful children, Michael Hahn, Austin Lajoie, and Melissa Lajoie.  Debbie was also a loving and caring sister to her brothers and sister, Jeffrey and Danny Banner and Cathy Banner Sampson.

Debbie was an employee of Nymeo Federal Credit Union in Frederick MD, where she worked in multiple managerial roles. She was deeply respected and loved by her co-workers and everyone she came into contact with.

Debbie’s infectious and positive personality brightened everybody’s day and her smile always lit a room up. Her beauty and grace will always be deeply cherished.

Family, relatives and friends are invited to Debbie’s viewing services Thursday, July 12TH from 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike Frederick. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 14TH beginning at 11 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Rd, Walkersville, MD with Deacon James Barth officiating. This service will be immediately followed by a Celebration of Debbie’s Life at the Fellowship Hall adjacent to the church. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
