Mr. Dawson Walter Lord, Jr., 56, of Mt. Airy, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Susan L. Lord, his wife of 20 years.
Born on May 16, 1959 in Easton, MD he was the son of the late Dawson W. Lord Sr of Ridgely, MD and Eleanor "Billie" Turbitt Jester of Federalsburg, MD. Before moving to Mount Airy, he worked at Black & Decker in Easton MD and The Call Center in Salisbury, MD. Dawson loved steam trains, classic cars and enjoyed college football, particularly the Mountaineers of West Virginia University and the Thundering Herd of Marshall University.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters: Phyllis Ann Cole and family, Valerie Lord Flatten and family; two brothers: Brian K. Lord and family and Thomas C. Lord and family; mother-in-law Barbara Flynn Smith and two brothers-in-law Evan E. Smith and family and Bryan W. Smith and family.
Services and interment will be private
