David W. Ross

Mr. David W. Ross, 54, of Frederick, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 9th, 2009, at Kline Hospice House.

His strong faith carried he and his family through his illness. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith: Hence forth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but into all them also that love his appearing. - Timothy 4: 7-8 .

He is survived by his wife Kim M. ( Hilchey ) Ross.

Born on September 6, 1954 in Massachusetts, a son of Wayne and Sylvia Babe( Simonetti ) Ross of Hagerstown.

David was a devoted member of the Fredericktowne Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and Elder. He was a servant of the Lord and was devoted to his family and friends. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, the former North Adams State College, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. He was a member of the TEKE fraternity. He was employed as a financial analyst. For relaxation he enjoyed playing golf.

Surviving beside his wife and parents are a daughter Amanda Roberts and husband Joe, a son Zachary Ross , all of Lynchburg, VA, a sister Susan Scruggs and husband Larry of New Market, a brother Steven Ross of Vermont, his mother and father in-law, Monica and Al Russo, many nieces and nephews and several brother and sister-
in-laws.

Visitation: Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Thursday, June 11th, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Services: Memorial service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Fredericktowne Baptist Church, 8645 Biggs Ford Rd, Walkersville. Rev. Kip Kratche and Rev. Gary Byers will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fredericktowne Baptist Church or Kline Hospice House, 7000 Kimmell Rd., Mt. Airy, MD 21771.
