David H. Frischkorn

Mr. David H. Frischkorn, 77, of Mt. Airy died on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at his son's residence in Berlin.

He was the husband of the late Regina C. Strobel Frischkorn who died in 1999.

Born on July 31, 1929 in Altoona, PA he was the son of the late Frederick and Edna Holland Frischkorn. He was a steam engineer 1st class for the Greater Southeast Community Hospital in Washington, DC retiring in 1991, after 24 years service.

Mr. Frischkorn served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Gold Star Post, 191, and VFW Post, 10076, both in Mt. Airy.

David was a member of the Glenwood Lions Club, St. Michael's Catholic Church as well as the church's Men's Club and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #10525. He enjoyed golf and woodworking.

Surviving are 3 children: Diane Janoske and husband Gary of Dayton, Gerald Frischkorn and wife Pam of West Friendship and Stephen Frischkorn and wife Kim of Berlin; 8 grandchildren: Melissa Janoske, Brad Janoske, Emily Janoske, Sarah Janoske, David Frischkorn, Michelle Frischkorn, Jason Frischkorn and Jocelyn Frischkorn.

David was preceded in death by a sister, Eileen Hunter.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, May 4, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 5, at St. Michael's Catholic Church at Poplar Springs, 1125 St. Michael's Rd., Mt. Airy with Rev. Michael J. Ruane as Celebrant.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Howard County, 5537 Twin Knolls Road, Suite 433, Columbia, MD 21045
