Mr. David C. DeGrange, 54, of Frederick, died on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at his home. He is survived by his wife of thirty- three years Edith ( Burrier ) DeGrange.
Born on June 19, 1954 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Melvin A. DeGrange, Sr. and Jospehine ( Keeney ) DeGrange.
Mr. DeGrange was a career truck driver, employed with Food Lion of Green Castle, PA for the past 15 years. He began his driving career with Irwin & Shafer Distributing employed there for 25 years. He also drove for Dairy Maid Dairy, Frederick, and D. M. Bowman, Williamsport. He enjoyed collecting and restoring old gas pumps, attending car shows and NASCAR races.
Surviving beside his wife are 2 children; Melissa Windsor and husband Brian of Walkersville, Dustin DeGrange and friend Amanda Pocklington of Walkersville, 1 grandson Brandon Ridgely, 1 brother; Melvin DeGrange and his wife, a special friend Tina McCall. He will be missed by his many other family members, his Food Lion friends and other friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge his sister- in -law Pauline ( Marbles ) Harris for her special care and support given to David in his last weeks.
Visitation: Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, on Thursday, June 26th, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Services:
Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Watson officiating.
Pallbearer will be Tom Smith, Brad Peterson, Karl Huber, Stephen Easton, Bill Fulmer, Brian Windsor, Kevin Kelly and Pete Troxell.
Interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
