David Wolfe

Mr. David Lawrence "Sonny" Wolfe, 75, of Keymar, passed from this life on Thursday, April 26, 2018, surrounded by his family at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. He was the husband of Lynette A. Abernethy Wolfe, his wife of 45 years.

Born on May 30, 1942, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles Andrew Wolfe and Mary Frances Stevens Keith.

David was a life long dump truck driver both as an owner operator and at one time for F.O. Day in Rockville. He also drove a milk truck for Tressler Trucking in Keymar.

David was an avid mechanic working on all types of vehicles and enjoyed drag racing; but most of all loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children: Jennifer Dove and companion Paul Lewis of Falling Waters, WV, David R. Wolfe and Michael L. Wolfe both of Keymar, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Wolfe and wife Eileen of Damascus; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Charles L. Wolfe and his step-father Bowie Keith.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Saturday, May 5, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tim May officiating.

Interment will be private.
