David Willard

Born on January 19, 1983, in Ft. Polk, Louisianna, he is the son of Barbara J. (Kerber) Leatherman and husband Gregory of Sharpsburg, Maryland, and David L. Willard of Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

He worked in construction for most of his life.

David will be greatly missed and will be fondly remembered for his ability to make people laugh.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, April Willard and Stephanie Miller, both of Hagerstown; four brothers, Robert and Randy Mathias, both of Hagerstown, and Chase and Gavin Willard, both of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Beach of Boonsboro, Maryland; and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Joyce Willard of Christiana, Pennsylvania.

David was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Kerber.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.  Rev. Chris Schlotterbeck will officiate.  Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
