David Basil Shurland, Retired oilfield production supervisor passed away peacefully on March 5th 2025, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Maryland

David was the beloved son of the late Ethelbert and Ina Shurland and husband of the late Audrey Shurland. Father of Wendy-Fae Thompson, Deirdre Shurland (Jamaica), Nigel Shurland (Canada), Camille Josephs (Cayman Islands), Simone and Gillian Shurland. Father-in-Law of Kieran Thompson and Angela Tai (Canada), brother-in-Law of Eileen Fitzwilliam and Patricia Shurland and others now deceased. Beloved grandfather of Blair, Brittni and Bianca-Marie Thompson. Brother of Robert and Mervyn Shurland (dec.), John Shurland, Neville Shurland (dec.), Peter Shurland, Joyce and Michael ‘Monty’ Shurland (Canada). Relative of the Regis, McLear, Wooding, Farquhar, Samuel and Brancker families and treasured friend to many. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph on Carrollton Manor RC Church, 5843 Manor Woods Rd., Frederick, MD 21703 at 11:00am on 13th March 2025.
