Mr. David William Nick, 67, of Brunswick, was called home to heaven surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. He will be missed by his wife of 42 years, Tami E. (Brawner) Nick.
Born February 23, 1956, in Charles Town, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Fred William Nick and Marguerite (Longerbeam) Nick.
He was employed in preventative maintenance at Loudoun County Public Schools in Virginia and worked as an HVAC sheet metal mechanic for many years. He was also a former employee at the National Conference Center in Virginia for 19 years.
David was a man of great faith in the Lord, a hard worker and spread kindness all around. He was full of life and enjoyed spending time with family, carpentry and being outdoors.
In addition to his wife, he will be missed by his two daughters, Ashley N. Wilson and husband, Nate, of Jefferson and Alexis R. Nick and fiancé, Aaron Grove, of Boonsboro; two granddaughters, Korinne (Shuggy) A. Wilson and Ayla (Little One) L. Wilson. He is also survived by brothers, Jerry Nick, Ronald Nick and Ervin Nick; several sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by a special unborn child; and his brothers, Paul Nick and Calvin Nick.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5 2023 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 6th at the Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1911 Rohrersville Road, Knoxville, with Pastor Danny Nick and Pastor Ronnie Nick officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
