Mr. David Ronald Neal, 69, of New Market, MD passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Pleasant View Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Runkles Neal for 35 years.
Born on January 21, 1942 in Abingdon, VA he was the son of the late David Sherman and Margaret Lillian Spriggs Neal.
Prior to his retirement, David was a truck driver for Ernest Maier Inc. He loved music, especially playing guitar with his band. David was also a ham radio operator, N3NRM and loved designing computer websites for churches.
In addition to his wife he is survived by son David Neal, Jr. of Abingdon, VA; step-children Robert Robbins and wife Kelly of Mt. Airy and Joyce Fulp and husband Paul of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren Kevin and Alissa Robbins and Samantha, Dakota and Maverick Fulp; sister Sue Able of Frederick and her children Harry Lee and Donna.
A memorial service will be held at the Stauffer Funeral Home 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy on Thursday, June 30 at 11am. The Rev. Lloyd Fuss will officate.
Inurnment will follow at the Prospect Cemetery.
