David M. Morehead

David Michael Morehead, 76, of Brunswick, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at his home in Brunswick.

Born on October 9, 1947, in Parkersburg, WV, he was the son of Mary Ellen (Cornell) Morehead and the late Lawrence Morehead.

Dave served in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1975 working on computers for the Trident submarine system. After leaving the Navy, he was self-employed as a direct mail marketer for many Washington, DC-based corporations. 

He served as past-president of the Eagles Club 3509 in Gaithersburg and also a member of the Rockville Elks Club. Dave was an avid golfer and fan of the New Orleans Saints football team. 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Kathi Morehead of Brunswick; daughter, Audrey M. Pepple of Smithsburg; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Dietrich of Martinsburg, WV; stepson, Ian Koplowitz and his wife, Michelle, of Ellicott City, MD; grandchildren, Kenneth Price, Kylie Pepple, and Cadence Pepple all of Smithsburg and Emma Koplowitz of Ellicott City; brother, Lawrence Morehead and wife, Dianne, of Murfreesboro, TN; many nieces and nephews; and former spouse, Katherine M. Morehead. 

He was preceded in death by his son, David M. Morehead, Jr.

Services will be private.
