Mr. David M. Martin 88, of Adamstown, Maryland, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of the late Junne Erickson Martin.
Mr. Martin was born June 10, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Edgar and Rita Martin.
Mr. Martin went to Tri State College in Indiana and was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi social fraternity, and the American Institute of Plant Engineers. He was an active participant in religious services and the BC Singers at Buckingham’s Choice. He served his Country in the U.S. Navy. David was Facilities Manager for Eaton Corporation and later went on to work at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. He was a Boy Scout Master for 32 years.
Mr. Martin is survived by his daughter Susan Martin Studds and husband Jeff of Hyattsville, MD and his son Eric Martin and wife Caroline McCall of San Francisco, CA, three grandchildren John Martin Studds, Julia Martin and Lucas Martin, two sisters Muriel Smith of CA and Margaret Williams of VA and a nephews Richard Smith, Rhys, Ian and Tom Williams
A Memorial service will be held at Buckingham’s Choice, Adamstown, MD on Saturday, October 12, at 2:00 pm.
Interment will be private
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 321 W. South Street. Kalamazoo, MI. 49007
