David King, Sr.

June 14, 1924 — February 1, 2012

Mr. David Edward King, Sr., 87, of Frederick, MD., passed away Wednesday February 1, 2012 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Angela King,  his first wife Carolyn King and second wife Agnes King.

Born June 14, 1924 in Wilmington, North Carolina, he was the son of John U. and Hazel Dushan  King.

Mr. King served his country during WWII, in the U.S. Army Air Corp, as a fighter pilot.  He retired from the CIA after 28+ years of service.

He is survived by his children  Susan McGrath of Silver Spring,  David E. King, Jr. of Deluth, MN, and Charles King and wife Pamela of Frederick, his step-children Sharon Church  of Brookville, MD, Tom Barnett, Steven Polk of Bowling, FL, Sharon Rutter of Arcola, FL, David Boehm of Sarasota, FL, and Gary Boehm of Wachula, FL, grandchildren Robyn, Devin and Megan King,  Nicholas Church, Daniel Boehm,  Maddie and Julia Boehm and Kari Lyn Gicker, and several great grandchildren.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.  He was preceded in death by two brothers John U. King, Jr. and Charles D. King , a sister Mary King Davis, and a step-son Kenny Boehm.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, February 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm. on Monday, February 6, at the Trinity United Methodist Church,  705 W. Patrick Street, Frederick with Rev. Glen Dameron officiating.
Interment will be private.
