David Joseph (Joe) Martin

David Joseph (Joe) Martin, 88, of Mt. Lena, MD passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.

Joe was born on May 20, 1936. He is the last surviving member of his family, being predeceased by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Mary Ann (Martz) and his two daughters: Tina Wolfe-Perkins (the late Lawrence Wolfe, the late Robert Perkins) and Tammy Russell (Melvin who Joe considered his best buddy). Four grandchildren: Christopher Wolfe (Kimberly Goss); Curtis Wolfe (Jennifer); Jessica Wolfe; Justyn Russell; and three great-grandchildren: Joey Macomber, Raven Wolfe, Autumn Wolfe and Darrius Hutzell. 

Joe loved spending time with his family, farming, mowing, gardening, and sitting on his front porch swinging with Mary Ann. He also loved counting the days to his yearly Ocean City trip.

The family will receive friends at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Mt. Zion Mennonite Church, 20544 Benevola Church Rd., Boonsboro, MD 21713 where a graveside service will begin at 11 am.
