David Hawley

Mr. David C. "Dave" Hawley of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at age 48 years. He was the loving husband of Michelle (Nugent) Hawley. They were married for 14 years.

Born May 1, 1967 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Cynthia (Foresman) Hawley of Middletown, and the late Norman L. Hawley, who predeceased him Jan. 8, 2015.

Dave graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1985, attended Frostburg University and the University of Maryland. He was a Facilities Director at a number of health care and academic institutions in Maryland. Dave loved to hunt and fish, and spent most of his time with his boys.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Benjamin B. and Jesse D. Hawley; brother, Eric (Kris) Hawley; grandmother, Eva (Ben) Bostic; niece, Erin (Justin) Weaver; a great-niece and three great-nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, with a funeral service to begin at 6 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Renny Martin.

Interment will be private.
