David W. Grimm

David W. Grimm, 63, of Thurmont, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at his home.  He was the husband of Kimbra Grimm.  Born on March 6, 1959 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Herbert Grimm and Bessie DeWayne (Lam) Grimm.

Mr. Grimm was a long-time employee for the Town of Thurmont.  He loved the outdoors and found great joy in raising and caring for his farm animals and beagles.  He also enjoyed the fellowship of butchering, and leaves behind a legacy of many family and friends.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Jared Grimm and his fiance Kelly Erfurdt; 2 sisters: Dawn Grimm and Melissa Grimm; a brother, Herbert Grimm and his wife Nancy.  He is also survived by 2 nephews, Ryan Grimm and Connor Grimm and a niece Chloe Grimm as well as a mother-in-law Barbara Willard.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Weller United Methodist Church, 101 Altamont Avenue, Thurmont.  A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12:00 pm, Pastor Mark Eyler officiating.  Interment will be at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
