David Glick
November 20, 1960 — June 16, 2014
On June 16, 2014 David Joseph Glick of Frederick, Maryland passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Born November 20, 1960 to parents Charlotte S. Glick (Hirschhorn) and Charles A. Glick.
David truly loved life! He lived his life with enthusiasm and greeted each day with joy. He worked at the 7th Street McDonalds for over 30 years, then at Scott Key Center until recently. He was a beloved member of Beth Sholom Congregation. He was an active participant in many events for the Special Olympics. David was an accomplished swimmer and equestrian. He enjoyed reading books and speech writing. He loved to dance and sing and spend lots of time with his friends.
He is survived by his brother Frederick Glick (Margie), nephew and niece Evan and Aleia; brother Michael Glick (Rebecca); sister Cynthia Kopciak (Herve) and nephews Zachary, Jarad and Samuel, and all of his many good friends especially Elisha, Bryan, Mark and Jesse.
David and his family owe a huge debt of gratitude and extend our love to Cherryl McBreen a true friend and to all of the staff who worked for him. The Arc of Frederick County has steadfastly supported David and his family his entire life, what a wonderful life it was!
Services will be held at Beth Sholom Community Center, 1011 North Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at 2:00pm.
