David "Skip" James Forward 56, of Frederick, passed away on January 25, 2013. He was betrothed to Jamie (Denmark) Rosell.
Son of the late James Walter Forward and Jacqueline Nancy Maren Forward, Skip was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 11, 1956 and moved to Maryland in the late 70’s. Skip was an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking with his dogs, fishing, and duck hunting. He was also a master craftsman who chiefly used wood as his medium.
Skip was loved by friends near and far, many of whom he met through his various hobbies and interests. He was an unlikely social butterfly who found a friend anywhere he went.
In addition to his fiancée Jamie, Skip is survived by his brother John “Tuck” Forward of Wisconsin, his beloved canine children Olive and Norman, and Jamie’s children Cassidy and Dakota, whom he loved as his own. He will be remembered fondly by hundreds of friends, all of whom felt after meeting him that he was their best friend.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 2pm on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mt Airy, MD. Memorial Services will be held directly after at the Izaak Walton League, 6642 Woodville Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771.
