David Dean

David Dean, of Frederick, MD died unexpectedly on January 8, 2017 at the age of 55.

David was born in Washington, DC on July 3, 1961 to Joseph Newkirk Dean and Patricia Dean Newbegin and grew up in Clinton, MD. After graduating from Surratsville High School, David proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Reserve. He graduated from The University of Maryland, University College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. He ran his own Title Abstracting Business for more than 25 years.

David married Rebecca Francis on September 12, 1997. They loved each other very much and enjoyed twenty years of life’s adventures together. During their marriage he welcomed his beautiful children into the family. The love for his children changed him in a profound way. They were his world.

David is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca; his loving children, Lillian Rae, Clayton Carlyle, Laura Elizabeth and step-daughter Addison Lantz; his mother Patricia Newbegin, brother Daniel Dean, his sisters Debra Bernardon, Terri Latimer and Veronica Halsey. He is also survived by his loving Aunt and Uncle, the Rev. Ken and Dr. Sandra Dunnington who were a huge part of his family life. He is also survived by his in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved.

David had a deep faith and love for God and was involved in the life of Brook Hill United Methodist Church.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, friends and by all and all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, with visitation at 10:00am on Friday, January 13th at Brook Hill United Methodist Church, located at 8946 Indian Springs Road, Frederick, MD 21702. A reception will follow at the church.
