Mr. David J. “Dave” Wilson, 65, of Frederick, Maryland, died, Sunday, December 22, 2013. He was the husband of Kathleen A. Wilson.
Born February 17, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel Dale and Margaret Marzelak Wilson.
Mr. Wilson served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and was a Secular Carmelites Member (OCDS). Dave enjoyed cooking.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Angela B. Wilson of Columbia, Michelle A. Wheatley and husband Matthew of Pittsburgh, D. J. Wilson, II of Baltimore and Nicole M. Wilson and fiancé John Ford of Frederick , his sister Jackie Sadinsky of Pittsburgh, and in-laws Herb and Doris Scheeser.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, December 26, from 2 -4 and 6-8 pm where a prayer service will be held at 7:45pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in Pittsburgh on Saturday December 28, 2013. Arrangements in Pittsburgh are being handled by the Neely Funeral Home of Glenshaw PA.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Dave’s name to the St. Katharine Drexel building fund or to Youth Ministries.
