David Cable

October 4, 1961 — November 25, 2012

Mr. David Seasongood Cable died suddenly November 25, 2012 surrounded by his family and friends at Frederick Memorial Hospital from a massive brain hemorrhage.  He was the husband of 28 years to Carolyn Harbaugh Cable.

David was the son of Sylvia Kaufman Cable of Frederick and the late Dana G. Cable, and George E. Moore, Jr., of Atlanta, GA.

He worked in construction his entire life and was always on the greatest love of his life, his Harley Davidson..Rode King. He rode his Harley every day, even during all types of weather. He rode proudly, often displaying the American Flag.

David was an organ and research donor. Thanks to his generosity and kindness, two individuals have received the gift of his kidneys, and his body was donated to science for research.

In addition to his loving wife, mother, and father, he is survived by his children, Jared Cable, Samantha Cable and her significant other, Robert Lennox, Taylor Cable, and the light of his life, his grandson, Nathan; his sister, Jennifer Morgan and her significant other, Pat Ellis, and her children, Sarah and Ryan Morgan; in-laws, Carl and Rebecca Harbaugh; sister and brother-in-law, Carla and Jim Ritenour, and her children Amanda Crampton and Natalie Connell and her husband, Chris; great-niece, Kilee Crampton and great-nephew, Camden Keene.

David also is survived by his aunts, Penny Saxton and her husband, Lou, and Victoria Forrest; and cousins, Tina Chilcott, Bill Ramey, Waylon Boyer and Angie Lahrman.

In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by his gram, Jean Cable; his son, Alex; and his mother-in-law, Fay Harbaugh.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. A service of remembrance will begin at 5 p.m. from the funeral home chapel.  Officiating will be the Rev. Tim May.

A private interment for the family will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
