Daryl Andre Foreman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on February 18, 2024 with his wife by his side. Daryl was born in Maryland on July 16, 1960, to his loving parents Roland and Cecile Foreman.
Daryl led a fulfilling career, serving the community through his work with the Montgomery County Government and the Maryland State Government until his retirement in 2018. He was dedicated to his work and touched the lives of many through his service.
One of Daryl's greatest joys in life was creating beautiful memories with his family and friends. He cherished visiting iconic landmarks like the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His passion for sports took him to Dodger Stadium to cheer on his favorite team. Daryl's love for sports extended beyond stadiums as he enjoyed watching games and sharing that enthusiasm with those around him.
Daryl graduated from Damascus High School in 1978 and further pursued learning at Salem College in Salem, West Virginia. He valued knowledge and growth throughout his lifetime.
Those who knew Daryl remember him as a fun-loving and energetic individual who had a zest for life. His hobbies included watching sports, playing and listening to music, dancing, and admiring Batman & Prince. Daryl's vibrant personality brought light wherever he went.
Amongst all his accomplishments, Daryl held immense pride in his grandchildren and children. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent together.
Daryl is survived by his devoted wife Kathleen Banfield Foreman; child Alyson Gordon (Gamal Gordon); grandchildren Kamryn, Kendall, Dionne, and Arionne; parents Roland and Cecile Foreman; brother Michael Foreman (Misty); sister Donna Morton (Aaron); as well as countless other family members and friends whose lives he touched with his kindness.
He is preceded in death by his son Wesley Foreman and grandparents Harvey Sr. & Ruth Hackey, and Ethel Foreman.
The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy, Maryland 21771 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 10:00am. Rev. Tim May and Carmen Collette will officiate.
The family invites everyone to honor Daryl by wearing his favorite sports teams, musicians or Batman apparel.
In honoring Daryl's legacy, let us remember his laughter, love for life, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
