Mr. Darrell Lee Droneburg, 45, of Brunswick died on Friday, May 11, 2007 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Norma Jean Adkins Droneburg, his wife of 24 years.
Born on February 5, 1962, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Russell Franklin Droneburg and Carol Lee Remsburg Droneburg Daugherty and husband Ronnie of Knoxville.
Darrell was the Assistant Superintendent of Public Works for the City of Brunswick.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and all sports including golf, but truly loved riding his Harley. Darrell also liked to work with his hands by woodworking, airbrush painting and working on cars.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are 2 children: Darrell L. Droneburg, Jr. and friend Jessie Taulton and Michelle R. Droneburg all of Brunswick; a brother Jimmy Daugherty and friend Patrisha Cavell of Knoxville; and his mother-in-law, Jane L. Adkins of Brunswick. Darrell will also be remembered by his adopted children to whom he was lovingly known as Poppa Cheez, they include: Myke Taulton, Kalen Scott, Brian Thackson, Russell Rife, Clark Fink, Nick Demos, Rev, Brian Neal, Eric Minnick and Tim Abbott.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday, May 14, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Avenue, Brunswick.
Services:
Services will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, May 15, 2007.
Interment will be private.
