Darrell Lynn Minnick

Darrell Lynn Minnick of Hagerstown, Maryland passed away peacefully at his home on July 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Linda Enfield Minnick. 

Born in Frederick September 5, 1949, to the late Howard Luther Minnick and Anna Mae Miller Minnick. 

He was a graduate of the first graduating class of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School in 1967. Served in the Air Force from 1968 to 1972. He is a life member of the Middletown Volunteer Fire Company. Founding member of BAMM Hunt Club in Calhoun County WV. He really enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandson in MD, WV, and SC for deer, turkey, and birds. Darrell was the owner and operator of Mid Valley Construction for 32 years. Recently retired from the University of Maryland, he served as a Supervisor for Projects Crew in Residential Facilities. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Corey and his wife Nicole, and their children Noah and Rachel Minnick, Son Craig, and longtime partner Danielle, and their daughters Delilah and Cicely Minnick; survived by sister Linda Knott and her husband David. As well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Shirley Enfield and special friends who were like family, Stephanie and Brandon Baird.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Marsha Opal, and her husband Rick and his father-in-law, Leon Enfield. 

The family will receive friends from 2-3pm on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Brunswick), 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick, MD, where a celebration of Darrell's life journey will take place at 3pm. Rev. Tim May will officiate. A reception will follow the service at the Middletown Volunteer Fire Company in their Activities Building, 1 Firemans Lane, Middletown, MD 21769 . Interment will be held privately.
