Darlene M. White

Darlene White, 83, of East Berlin, Pennsylvania, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at home. 

Born on October 3, 1938, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edward  Masser and Mary Frances (Cecil) and Roland L. Long.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Franklin E. White, Jr. 

Darlene will be remembered as a lady who loved her family and her ministry.  She and her childhood sweetheart, Sonny, were the pastors at Damascus Church of God for 27 years before moving to Tampa with their children, where they resided until this year, when Darlene moved back home.  God was their lives...she was an LPN after getting her degree at age 40 to be able to help others.  If she could leave one message for anyone it would be: "FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVER LASTING LIFE."

Darlene is survived by her son, Randy A. White, and her daughter, Sandra J. "Sandi"; sisters, Linda Clark and her husband, Eugene, and Sylvia Gross and her late husband, Austin; brother, Edward W. Masser; grandchildren, Angela N. Pieper and her husband, Dr. Russell Pieper, Brandon F. White and wife, Allysia, and Ryan A. Teaford and his wife, Savannah; 13 great-grandchildren; and very special friends, Rev. Mike Monday and wife, Kimberly, Gabriel and Debbie Hermoso, and Rev. Billy Stitely and wife, Tina. 

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristen R. Hernandez.

A celebration of Darlene 's life journey will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Lighthouse Ministries Church of God, 28912 Ridge Road in Mt. Airy, Maryland with her dear friend, Pastor Billy Stitely officiating. Final resting place ceremonies will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in  Frederick. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday one hour prior to services at Lighthouse Ministries Church of God in Mt. Airy.
