Daniel |Dan} Kubel
August 30, 1949 — February 25, 2010
Mr. Daniel Dan Kubel, 60 of Adamstown, MD, died Thursday, February 25, 2010 at his home after a valiant battle with cancer. He was the husband of Karen Cooper Kubel.
Born August 30, 1949 in South Dakota, he was the son of Annetta Becvar Kubel and the late Pete Kubel.
Mr. Kubel served his Country in US Navy Submarine Service as Senior Chief and retired after 20 years of honorable service. He went on to work for the next 20 years as an electrical engineer for respected contractors in government service. He loved life and his family wholeheartedly.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three children--Sarah Kubel of Baltimore, Danny Kubel of Hagerstown, and Allison DeBar and husband John of Winchester, VA; his sister Geraldine Anshutz and husband Jerry of Pierre, SD, sister Nancy Hume of Omaha, NB, brother Myron Kubel and wife Debbie of Palmdale, CA and many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by his wife's mother Bertha Ann Cooper of VA and his sisters and brothers-in-law David and Susan Cooper, Suzanne and George Seeley, Patricia and Tony Michura, Sharon Cooper, Judy and Dan Roman, and many more nieces and nephews.
He is preceeded in death by his father, his wife's father Claude Cooper, and one son, Joseph Kubel.

Services: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Tuesday, March 2, from 6 - 9 p.m., where a Celebration of Life Service will be open for sharing at 7:30 p.m. Internment will be private.
