Mr. Daniel Andrew Wobbleton,31, of Colorado Springs CO - from Thurmont Maryland - passed away unexpectedly and peacefully with his family by his side at UCHealth Hospital on Thursday, April 25th. His wings were ready but our hearts were not.
Born November 21, 1992 in Frederick, he was the son of Steven and Pamela (Wastler) Wobbleton.
Daniel graduated from Hood College in Frederick MD in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy with a Concentration in Biology and Minors in History and Coastal Studies. During his time at Hood College: "Daniel was a reliable and trustworthy Instructional Technology Assistant in the Office of Information Technology .... Daniel's kind nature, attention to detail, and reliability made him a great member of the IT Team and community at Hood." Friends and coworkers considered Daniel "nice and kind as anyone in the world," "a beautiful person with a beautiful soul," and "one of the smartest people I know."
Daniel had a passion for history and science, and enjoyed studying abroad. He loved annual family trips to the beaches of Maryland and North Carolina. He had a love of animals, including the family pet golden retriever and neighborhood cats. Daniel was an avid reader and had an extensive library of classic science fiction novels. He enjoyed teaching himself Japanese and gaming with his friends, especially Dungeons & Dragons.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving sister Amanda (Wobbleton) Allemeier & husband David of Massachusetts; Uncle (Skip) Carl Wastler & wife Brenda; Uncle Bill Wobbleton Jr; Aunt Marsha (Wobbleton) Stup & husband Donald; Aunts Carrie & Ashley Wastler; & Uncle Matthew Wastler; cousins: Brandon & Dustin Wastler, Kyle Harne, Laiken (Harne) Courtney, as well as his grandfather Carroll E. Wastler & wife Teresa, grandfather Ed Spencer, and Great Aunt Betsy (Wobbleton) Ayers of NC.
Daniel will also be remembered and missed by his lifelong friends: Mickey Michalik, Jeremy Bailey, Garrett Miller, and Keith Renner.
Daniel was predeceased by his loving grandparents: Sally A. Spencer, Pearl "Annette" Beach Wobbleton, and Bill R. Wobbleton Sr.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 17th @ 4pm. at St. John's Church Parish Hall in Creagerstown, MD.
