Daniel Stanton

Daniel Joseph Stanton, 57, of Jefferson, MD passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Beth M. Stanton.
Born December 20, 1958 in Evergreen Park, IL he was the son of Gerald B. and Juanita C. Foster Stanton of Panama City Beach, FL.
Daniel attended Catholic University and University of MD. He was an Administrator of various businesses. Daniel was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the Chicago White Sox, Washington Redskins and the MD Terps. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf. Daniel most recently started attending Jefferson United Methodist Church with his granddaughter prior to becoming ill.
In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his children Rachel Smith and husband Brandon, Joshua Merriman and Daniella Kayner and one granddaughter Marilee Smith; siblings Michael Stanton, Kathleen Stanton Moran, Gerald Stanton, Jr., Robert Stanton, Rebecca Stanton and Eileen Stanton and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 7 at 11AM at Holy Family Catholic Community Church, 7321 Burkittsville Rd., Middletown, MD 21769. Mnsgr. Robert Jaskot will be the celebrant.
Memorial donations may be made in Daniel's name to any Chicago White Sox charities.
Interment will be private.
