Daniel Arthur Shaffer, 58, of Brownsville, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Doey's House in Hagerstown, Maryland.  He was the beloved husband of 38 years to Diann Shaffer.

Born on October 25, 1965, in Silver Spring, MD, he was the son of the late Arthur Shaffer and late Sandra (Stone) Shaffer.

Danny left us a lifetime legacy as an exceptional stone mason and craftsman under the flagship of “Olde Town Masonry”.  His skills and craftmanship contributed to beautiful stonework and structures throughout the tri-state area to be enjoyed for generations to come.

He was also an avid golfer when he had the time, either participating in yearly golf benefits or hitting golf balls into the field for the kids to retrieve them for a quarter.

He was a 1983 graduate of Boonsboro Sr. High School.  He played JV and Varsity football and baseball and was voted class couple with Diann Exline (Shaffer).  He was also one award away from Eagle Scout.

In addition to his wife Diann, he is survived by 3 children – Joshua Daniel Shaffer, FL; Jeremy Daniel Shaffer, MD; and Rachel Renee Shaffer, PA.  He is also survived by 3 siblings – Angela Diane Cook of FL; Amanda Dione Winter and brother-in-law Graham Winter of FL, and Anthony James Shaffer of MD. He was blessed and was devoted to his beloved grandchildren – Owen Alexander Barnette, Elijah Daniel Shaffer and Rikko Andres Gonzalez.
