Daniel Reed

Mr. Daniel Webster Reed, 89, of Williamsport, died Monday, May 15, 2017 at Martinsburg VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Helen Irene Reed.
Born June 26, 1927 in Indian Springs, he was the son of the late Bruce and Viola (Wertabaugh) Reed.
Daniel served in the Navy during World War II, and in the Marines during the Korean War.
He is survived by two sons, Derrick Reed of VA, and Eric Reed of TN; one daughter, Lisa Byers of FL; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lawrence Reed of Big Pool, and David Reed of Williamsport.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Dani Diane Reed; and a sister, Margarette Robinson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 19 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 20 at Boonsboro Cemetery.
