Daniel Bartolini

Mr. Daniel J. Bartolini, 80, went to the Glory of God on Saturday, March 19, in New Jersey. He was the husband of the late Kay J. Lee Bartolini who died in 2008.

Born on August 7, 1935 in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Ermindo and Katherine Iorio Bartolini. Daniel earned his Bachelor's Degree from Villanova University, served in the US Marine Corps, studied at the Catholic University of America and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland. He worked until retirement for the Social Security Administration’s Department of Health and Human Services. He was a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and was licensed to practice before the United States District Court Maryland, United States Court Appeals (4th circuit), and Supreme Court of the United States Court. He was also an adjunct professor of law at Villa Julie College.

Daniel was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Mt. Airy, MD and Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Galloway, NJ. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and cooking. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Emmaus Prayer Group.

Surviving are five children: Debra (Wayne) Arnold, Daniel (Stacy) Bartolini, Alyssa (Richard) Smith, Wilmin (Kathleen) Bartolini and John (Deborah) Yee; 14 grandchildren: Alicia and Nick Arnold, DJ, Alex, Anna, and Harlan Bartolini, Ricky and Natalie Smith, Emily and Joe Bartolini, Benjamin (Katie), Addison (Kate), Remington, and Johanna Yee and 4 great grandchildren; five sisters: Gloria Rando, Josephine Zuccarino, Mary Maccagnano, Rita Haney and Janis Katz.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM on Monday, March 28, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd. in Mt. Airy. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 29, at St. Michael's Poplar Springs, 1125 St. Michael's Rd., Mt. Airy with Rev. Michael J. Ruane as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Additionally, a memorial mass will be offered at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 2 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 146 S. Pitney Rd, Galloway, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
