Dana G. Ventimiglia, 74, of Knoxville, MD, died Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He is the husband of 54 years to Jodell Gooding Ventimiglia.
Born August 14, 1941 in Akron, OH, he was the son of the late John M. Ventimiglia.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Brunswick where he performed the duties of Sacristan and Usher.
Dana was a barber for 53 years. He worked with and co-owned a shop in Washington, DC with his father. He also worked with his longtime friend Frank Lantella at Valentino's in Bethesda, MD.
He is survived by his wife Jodell; daughters, Donna Ventimiglia and husband, Jeff Humelsine, of Knoxville, MD, Debra Cain and husband, John, of Gaithersburg, MD and Deneen Ventimiglia of Corea, ME; brothers, Donald, Duane and Dean; and sister, Donetta Herbert; two grandchildren, Colleen and Caroline.
A Memorial Mass will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Saint Francis of Assisi, 113 First Avenue, Brunswick, MD.
The family will receive friends at 39066 Dobbins Farm Lane, Lovettsville, VA 20180, immediately following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dana G. Ventimiglia Memorial Fund, 1300 Maple Avenue, Brunswick, MD 21716 (301-834-7777).
