Dana Collins

Dana Eric Collins, 54, of Frederick MD passed away suddenly on May 9, 2018 at his residence. Dana was born in Frederick MD on February 17, 1964. Dana is survived by two beautiful daughters, Mikaylah Collins (19) and Gabrielle Collins (16) of Frederick MD.
In addition to his daughters, Dana is also survived by his parents, Placid A. Collins and John W. Collins, both of Frederick; siblings: Ave Holland, Yvette Collins, Samone Collins (all of Frederick), Monique Shern (Duluth GA) & Joel Shern (Columbia SC); numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, long time friends and extended family.
Dana was a 1982 graduate of Governor Thomas Johnson High School. At the time of his death, he was employed with ACC Mortgage in Rockville MD. Dana was a devoted father, son, brother & friend. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his daughters, family and friends; relaxing at his home in the country; playing golf; listening to music (specifically jazz & old school); watching movies; cooking and reading.
Dana is preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 16 at 11:00 AM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
