Family and friends deeply mourn the passing of Dale Alan Driscoll, who died Tuesday, June 26, at Georgetown University Hospital after a courageous battle for his life that extended over the past seven months.
Born January 29, 1969 at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Dale graduated from Walkersville High School’s Class of 1987.
As with all he did, Dale brought passionate devotion and a zealous commitment to his service in the US Navy, his employment at MPR Associates Inc. as well as his enthusiastic participation in local campaign activities and tireless efforts to improve the conditions and lives of those in his beloved Frederick Community.
Dale loved politics, and he understood how to craft a message and to communicate it to voters. He managed several successful campaigns, including two successful races for former State Delegate Rick Weldon, Delegate Kelly Schultz, and Mayor Randy McClement . Dale worked on the US Senate campaign of Michael Steele as a statewide strategic adviser, assisted former City Alderman Joe Baldi in his mayoral campaign, and advised dozens of other candidates seeking public office. Dale also lobbied Congress and worked on federal programs for the Dept. of Defense and Dept. of Homeland Security. Locally, Dale was actively involved in the Republican Club of Frederick County, and had a great relationship with party leaders throughout Maryland and the region.
Dale opened his heart and his home as entertainer extraordinaire and mentor most sincere to the many so fortunate to play a role his life. Our cherished Dale’s warmth and affectionate style will remain in our hearts and memories forever.
Dale is survived by wife Deanna Chaney Driscoll and daughter Hannah Alexandra Driscoll. High school sweethearts, Dale and Dea just celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in May.
