Cyril R. "Willy" Baker, 80, of Frederick, MD, passed from this life on Monday, September 18, 2017.
Born on June 25, 1937, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Harry Russell Baker and Viola Staley Baker. He grew up in Jefferson MD and spent most of his time helping his father with the family plumbing business. He was a caretaker for his mother and enjoyed working in the family home, gardening and tending to the lawn.
He attended Community Living Day Program for over 20 years, where he enjoyed golf, bowling ,painting, special Olympics, and going on group vacations, including cruises.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Russell linwood Baker and Harry W. Baker, one sister, Shirley Graham, and an infant sister, Linda Baker.
He is survived by sister, Dorothy L Michael, sister, Carolyn B Gastley and her husband, Ralph, sister, Sharon Ann Thompson and her husband, John G. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-3pm and 5-8pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
A funeral Service will take place at 11:00am on Friday, September 22, 2017, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD.
