C. Richard Wagaman

Mr. C. Richard "Dick" Wagaman, 87, of Sabillasville, Maryland, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at Northampton Manor Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Shirley Miller Wagaman, his wife of 63 years.
He was born May 30, 1927 in Sabillasville the son of the late Howard Russell and Ruth Idella Harbaugh Wagaman. He was raised in Sabillasville and remained close to his home all his life, with the exception of the time he spent in Hawaii while serving in the Navy, and attending Coyne Electrical School in Chicago.
He was a life-long member of St. John's United Church of Christ. At the time of his retirement, Dick had been a Stationary Engineer for the State of Maryland for many years. He also farmed all his life as a hobby and small source of extra income. He was also a member of the Masonic Acacia Lodge #155 in Thurmont.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Ellen Hambrick of Catonsville, MD; Lynn Kaulius of Woodbridge, VA; and Kenneth Wagaman and wife, Christine of Frederick, MD; and grandson Michael Richard Hambrick, currently serving in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his brothers Francis Edward Wagaman, Kenneth Robert Wagaman and Lester Harbaugh Wagaman.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E Main St., Thurmont, Wednesday January 14, from 12:00 pm until service time at 1:00 pm. Rev. B. Joanne Gaver will officiate.
Interment Blue Ridge Cemetery.
