Ms. Crescent Carol Martin, 38, of Mount Airy, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at her home, of major surgery complications.
Born in July of 1973, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Lynette Martin and adoptive father Ronald Martin of Mt. Airy. Crescent grew up in Gaithersburg,MD, lived as an adult in Texas, Arizona and Florida; and more recently she and her daughter moved back to her home state of Maryland. During her career she worked as a personal trainer and later as a waitress. Crescent loved serving others and speaking in front of groups of people, as well as dressing up and looking beautiful.
Surviving in addition to her parents and her loving Grandfather Earle Lynwood Browning of Mt. Airy, are her loving daughter Eden Martin of Frederick; two grandchildren: Kahlyssa and D.J., (the joy of her life); one sister, Susanna and Bob Koder and her children Nicholas and Lindy; two brothers: Jason Martin and wife Kristine and daughter Debra, and Joel Martin. In addition to her family and friends, she loved her little dachshund, Cayenne.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, July 9, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd, Mt. Airy.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 10, at Providence Cemetery, 3716 Kemptown Church Rd, Monrovia, MD 21770.
