Craig Alton Nesbitt, 54, of Cocoa Beach, Florida entered into the arms of his loving Savior Jesus on September 19, 2013. Born 12/21/1958 in Garden City Michigan. Frederick native, a graduate of Linganore High and Washington Bible College, passionate Pastor, beloved husband & father. He was an award winning athlete who was praised in the "Who's Who" of American Youth for his high academic achievement and outstanding performance on the football field. Craig served as a Pastor in Frederick County for 14 years, later moving to Florida where he was a property manager and did preaching for Seafarers Ministry. Revered for his infectious smile, dedication to his family, and a devout heart towards God. Craig leaves behind a legacy of genuine love to thousands who crossed his path.
Craig is survived by his loving wife and best friend Yvonne Nesbitt of 15 years. Children Nathan, Justin, Troy and wife Whitney, Noelle ,and Craig Nesbitt; Ryan, Casie, Whitney and Erick Burger. Grandchildren Juliana, Makayla, Hailey and Chase. Mother Joyce Nesbitt Blentlinger and husband William Blentlinger, grandmother Clarice Nesbitt; siblings Dale and wife Lisa, Guy and wife Charmane, Carrie and husband John Blackburn, Uncle Mike and Aunt Shelly McElhiney, Uncle Dean and Aunt Dolores Callahan, 8 nephews, their families, and many cousins.
Craig was preceded in death by his son Joshua Nesbitt, and father Alton Nesbitt.
His children would like him to be remembered as steadfast, sincere, humble, with strong loving arms, always their supportive number one fan.
The family would like to invite friends and loved ones to share in the celebration of Craig’s life. Viewing will be held Thursday, September 26, at Stauffers Funeral Home on Opossumtown Pike from 5-8pm. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, September 27 at Frederick Christian Fellowship, 10142 Hansonville Rd, Frederick, from 10-11am, service beginning at 11am. Pastor Randy Goldenberg and Pastor Kevin Wright to officiate. Interment will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stauffer Funeral Homes in care of Craig Nesbitt.
