Cpl. Kurt Steven Shea USMC, 21, of Frederick, died on Monday May 10, 2010 in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Born on February 10, 1989, in Rockville he was the son of Steven R. and Linda DiTullio Shea.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister, Oliva Shea of Frederick and his paternal grandmother Diane Shea of New York.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Filippa and Frank DiTullio and Paternal grandfather Eugene Shea.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 18 from 12noon until 9:00pm at the Frederick Christian Fellowship (the former Lynfield Complex), 10142 Hansonville Road, Frederick, MD, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 19, at 10:00am. Reverend Daniel R. Goulet will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
