Corrine Shaffer

Corrine Ann Shaffer, 77, of Frederick Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, March 19, 2017 surrounded by her family at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy, MD.
Born on July 13, 1939, in Fairmont, WV, she was the daughter of her late parents Nicola “Nick” and Helen Mary (Colarusso) Marchesani.
Corrine graduated from Fairmont Senior High School, and beautician school in Clarksburg, WV.
Corrine worked as a hair dresser, in Janice’s Beauty shop in downtown Frederick for many years.
She later became a human resource representative and then an administrator for GEICO, North American Housing Corporation, Frederick County National Bank, BB&T, and Vintage Lumber prior to retiring in 2002.
She will be remembered for her love of family and friends, kindness, and her laughter.
Corrine was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, and the Walkersville Rescue Co. 24.
She is survived by her beloved son Michael James Marchesani, his wife Lisa Marie, and Grandchildren, Mikayla Kristin and Morgan Marie Marchesani, all of Walkersville, MD. She is also survived by one Brother Louis Donald “Donnie” Marchesani and his wife Ann; and their children Nicholas Marchesani, and Stephine Walker all of Fairmont, WV. She also has many cousins which she shared very special relationships with. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Mary Marchesani.
She leaves behind very special friends, Angie Abrecht, Patty Rice, Sis Miller, Sandy Quong, Travis Brice, Sandy Brandon, and Bernice Brown.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.
A celebration of Corrine’s life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Rd in Walkersville, MD. Msgr. Murphy will officiate.
Family will also receive friends 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave, Fairmont WV, Interment will follow the viewing at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, in Fairmont, WV.
