Cordie Barnard

Mrs. Cordie Lee Barnard, 79, of Mount Airy, MD passed peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Born March 30, 1934 in Simpsonville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Pearl I. Mathis and Mack H. Seal, Sr. Her husband of 37 years, J.C. Barnard, passed on December 16, 1992. She is survived by 7 children, David Stewart and wife Debbie, Terry Branch and husband Ron, Barbara Branson and husband Dan, John H. Barnard and wife Judy, Sandy Bowman and husband Jim, Jay Barnard and wife Janice, and Bonnie Metcalf and husband Lance; 22 Grandchildren; 22 Great-Grandchildren; Brothers and Sisters, Ida Mae Beeunas, Myrtle Loun, Jewel Miller, Charlie Seal, Betty Turner, Vella Beall, Jerry Seal, and David Seal; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. She was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church. Enjoying time with her family and friends, she was known for the many blankets made for children. In addition to her Parents and Husband, she is preceded in death by a Grandson, Eran Branch, and Siblings, Dorothy Halterman and Mack H. Seal, Jr. Viewing and Visitation will be on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Liberty Baptist Church, 1200 Madison Street, Lisbon, MD 21765. The Family invites you to rejoice in the celebration of her life on Saturday, August 31, 2013, 11 AM, at the church. Pastors Lance Metcalf and Ron Branch will officiate.
