Middletown

Conor Gannon Toole, 55, of Middletown, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, January 6, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Melissa Toole for almost 20 years.

Born on February 11, 1969, in Rahway, New Jersey. He was the son of the late John and Bonnie Toole. He grew up in Livingston and graduated from Seton Hall Prep in 1987. Conor then went on to attend Purdue University where he graduated with degrees in history and business. After trying to find his way in the business world for 2 years, he found his calling with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in 1994. He proudly served the citizens of Montgomery County for 26 years and retired as a sergeant in 2020.

Conor enjoyed spending time with his lovely wife, his dogs, and his many friends, who were more like family. He also enjoyed chatting about sports, politics, history, pretty much any topic. His parents instilled in him a love of reading and he was a very avid book lover and collector. His love of history and preserving history led him to the Friends of Mt. Olivet, where he helped to preserve some of our local history.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two pups, Dakota and Cody. Conor was also the nephew of Mary Anne McKenna, James and Lois McKenna, and Eileen Toole. He was also the son in law of Don and Karen Piatt, brother- in- law to Greg and Ellie Piatt. He is also survived by a niece Kaya Piatt. He is also survived by numerous cousins. In addition to his late parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Bob Toole, his Uncle James McKenna, and Uncle Richard Toole.

A celebration of life is being planned for the near future.
