Colleen E. Sedgwick, 43, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Kline Hospice House, Mount Airy, Maryland.
She was the wife of Jason M. Sedgwick.
Born on March 4, 1971 in Olean, New York, she was the daughter of James Coss and Judith McLarney Coss of Olean, New York.
Colleen was active in the Twin Ridge Elementary PTA and Girl Scouts. She loved to bake and cook, was an avid reader and enjoyed taking trips to the beach with the family. She was a graduate of Alfred State College, Alfred New York. She was an active member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church at Poplar Springs.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by one son, Andrew Sedgwick; two daughters, Alayna and Emily Sedgwick; one brother, Joseph Coss of New York and two sisters, Kathleen Butler of New York and Paula Malone of Arizonia.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Boulevard, Mount Airy, Maryland on Monday, October 13, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Michaels Catholic Church at Poplar Springs, 1125 St. Michaels Road, Mt. Airy, Maryland. Father Michael J. Ruane will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery.
