Clinton (Clint) Edward Wimsatt

August 14, 1969 — September 17, 2022

Middletown

Clinton (Clint) Edward Wimsatt, 53, of Middletown, Maryland, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the beloved husband of Tricia Zecher Wimsatt for 26 years and the father of Jena Olivia Wimsatt and Maura Michelle Wimsatt. Born on August 14, 1969, in Silver Spring, MD, he was the son of Kathryn Slocum Wimsatt and the late William Hughes Wimsatt. He is survived by one brother, Brett William Wimsatt (wife Laura) and his fur children Eevee, Macie Mae, and Toby.
Clint graduated from Col. Zadok Magruder High School. He completed over 33 years of federal service as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. Clint was a member of Middletown AMVETS, Post #9.
Clint had a passion for listening to audible Sci-Fi and fantasy fiction books while taking his daily walks around town. He had the kindest soul, greeted everyone along his walking path, and you would almost always see him in a different Star Wars t-shirt. When he wasn’t being his silly, goofy self, he was our family’s personal geek squad. He was an avid researcher of all things tech and provided IT support outside of his daily professional life. Every person who crossed his path admired his insightful perspectives, wisdom, and intellectual conversations. He would talk to his daughters (and even their friends) for hours and always knew the right thing to say. Clint loved nothing more than great food, exploring wineries and breweries with his adventurous wife, and sharing amazing memories with his family on trips and vacations.
He was a loving, proud, and dedicated husband, father and son and nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. Clint was a friend to all, very selfless, always smiling, and willing to help anyone; he will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A. (Fred), 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, MD.

Services and interment will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the Middletown Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 322, Middletown, MD 21769
