Mr. Clifford Morris, 92 of Frederick, passed away January 7, at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born July 16, 1916, he was the son of the late Ambrose Morris, and the late Evon (Morris) Jackson.
He was also preceded in death by his Step-Father Melvin Jackson, his first wife, Cecilia Morris, and brothers Ernest Morris, and Ambrose (Petey) Morris.
Clifford was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He served in the US Army Air Force during World War II. Upon discharge from the service, he received a letter of recognition from the Governor of Maryland for his service to his country. Clifford was just recently recognized by the African American Resources Cultural Heritage Society, as one of the oldest living black residents of Frederick county.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Petersville, Md, and the Knights of Columbus of Frederick Md. During his later years, he also attended Asbury United Methodist Church in Frederick.
Clifford worked on the Brunswick B&O Railroad for many years, but retired from Fort Detrick, Frederick Md.
Clifford is survived by his wife Elizabeth Morris of Frederick; five children, Joan Jones and husband Kersey of Aberdeen, Md.; Catherine Wierzbicki and husband Paul of Tuscon, Arizona; Pearl Roberts and husband Thomas of Frederick, Md.; Clifford Morris and wife Irene of Frederick, Md.; and Larry Morris and wife Elaine of Burkittsville, Md. He is also survived by three step children; Edwina Westbrook and husband John of Richmond, Va., Fred White and wife Patreis of North Carolina, and K. Mitchell White and wife Hahna of New York. Surviving Clifford are six grandchildren; Tina Davis and husband Larry of Hagerstown, Md. Daphne Walker Ryan of Frederick, Md., Dawn Metz and husband Eric Of Aberdeen Md., Alvin Wierzbicki and wife Jessica of Tuscon, Arizona, Thomas Roberts and wife Alia of Martinsburg, West Virginia, and Kimberly Gray and husband Mel of Frederick, Md.
There are seven surviving great grand children; Micah Davis, Lauren Davis, Dustin Walker-Ryan, Zachary Walker-Ryan, Landon Roberts, Akeyla Roberts, and Shea Wierzbicki.
He is also survived by Step brothers, James Morris and Jackie Morris; and Step sisters Jane Ann Jones, Effie Cole and Mary Johnson.

Services: A viewing will be held Monday, Jan 12th from 10 to 11AM at Stauffer's Funeral Home 1621 Opossumtown Pk., Frederick, Md. followed by A Going Home Service beginning at 11 o'clock. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church Petersville, Md.
