Cleo K. Kelly, 97, of Keedysville, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born on December 27, 1916, in Springfield, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Charley M. and Lucella (Pearl) Kitchen. Her husband, James F. Kelly, Sr., preceded her in death.
Cleo was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Keedysville.
She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Orlando and husband Osman of Cheverly, Maryland; three sons, Robert S. Kelly and wife Joanna of Keedysville, Charles P. Kelly and wife Rhonda of Columbia, Maryland, and James F. Kelly, Jr. and wife Anita of Manassas, Virginia; one sister, Velta B. Kitchen of Keedysville; and her cousin Marjorie Bailey of Falls Church, Virginia. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 with a funeral ceremony to be held at 7 p.m. at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. Rev. Robert G. Brennen, Jr. will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road in Clinton, Maryland.
