Clayton Mullendore

December 7, 1944 — January 21, 2017

Mr. Clayton Mullendore, 72, of Keedysville, died on Saturday, January 21, at his home.  He was the husband of Diana Bussard Mullendore.  Born on December 7, 1944, he was the son of the late Stanley and Agnes Denby Mullendore.

Upon graduation from high school, Mr. Mullendore joined the U.S. Air Force.  After serving four years, he became a Maryland State Trooper, a career he held for 16 years until an on duty injury forced his retirement in 1984. Following his retirement, Clayton worked as a dealer exchange broker for Fitzgerald Auto and Sharrett Automotive for 10 years, in addition to being a stay-at-home father for his children while his wife worked outside of the home.  He and Diane enjoyed traveling and the Mullendore's built their home, having moved into it in 1972.  Mr. Mullendore enjoyed the woods and especially liked hunting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children James Brian Burall, Daniel Clayton Mullendore and wife Yukiko, Jennifer Erin Mullendore-Barrick and husband Troy, Michael Eugene Mullendore and wife Danielle and Ruthanna Marie Mullendore, 8 Grandchildren: Breana, Lorrie; Chelsea; Rina; Tyler, Brady, Eli, Addi and his 2 great-grandchildren, Mykenna and Jett as well as 8 siblings and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 5753 Mount Carmel Church Road, Boonsboro, MD 21713.  The family will have a private family-only service immediately following the visitation time at the church.
