Claudia Hennigan, age 84, formerly of Frederick, MD passed from this life on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Cocoa Beach, FL.

Born on April 27, 1936  in Washington D.C.,  she was the daughter of the late Claude and Eveyln Purdum.

Claudia was the loving wife of the late Thomas F. Hennigan.

She graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in Montgomery County and had a 30 year career with the Department of the Navy.  She was a member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church and also worked at the 4 Seasons where she lived in Florida for 10 years. Claudia enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, sunbathing at the beach, cruises, visiting Disneyland and entertaining her family and friends. She also enjoyed shopping, gardening, having holiday celebrations and setting up Christmas decorations especially her Christmas villages.

Claudia is survived by her son, Andy Armstrong and girlfriend, Karla Morris of Clear Spring, MD; aunt, Lorraine Purdum of MD and Janet Purdum; nieces, Kim Houser, Suzie Sondberg and Mary Ruth Hennigan; nephews, Michael Purdum and Brian Hennigan and wife, Mary.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as beloved family and friends.  She will be fondly remembered by her boyfriend and caregiver, Bob Therrien and will also be missed by her dog, Angel.

She was a very kind and giving person.  She was always there to lend a helping hand and her family and friends were truly blessed to know her.  She will be greatly missed and will always be remembered.

Services will be private.
