Claudia M. Fegler, 50, of Mount Airy, MD passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC. Born April 26, 1963 in New Jersey, she is preceded in death by her father, Claude M. Surdi and sister, Lynn Rossi . She is survived by her mother, Joan A. Terwilleger, brother, Russell Surdi, husband David Fegler, daughter, Marcella Fegler, and son, David Fegler.
Claudia will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother and best friend. Claudia was the best wife, mother and best friend a family could ask for. She was always the type of person who put others before herself. Although Claudia was a great wife and loving mother to two children, many individuals viewed her as a second mother, knowing if they ever needed someone to talk to, she was always there to help out in any way. Even though Claudia has passed, she is now with her father and sister. We know she'll be with us every step of the way from here on out, making sure we are safe. God has gained a beautiful angel and we know she is no longer in pain. Claudia was so loving, caring and such a strong independent woman. Her outgoing personality, warm smile and dancing feet left a beautiful mark on this world that will never be forgotten. We know this is not a goodbye, but rather a see-you-later.
Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 8 East Ridgeville Blvd, Mount Airy, MD 21771 from 2-4 & 6-9 PM on Sunday, January 12 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014, 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Parish, 1125 St Michael`s Road, Mount Airy, MD 21771. Father Michael Ruane will officiate.
